Hair metal jokers warm up ahead of Ozzfest tonight

Steel Panther played a tiny show in London last night.

Los Angeles’ favourite satirical hair metal outfit took time out from touring as part of Ozzfest, to rock the packed-out Old Blue Last pub.

Having sold out Brixton Academy the last time they were in the capital in March 2010 The intimate show was a return to the band roots with singer Michael Starr commenting “This is just like the shows we play back in LA in the Viper Room.”

The set comprised tracks from their album ‘Feel The Steel’ such as ‘Community Property’ and ‘Girl From Oklahoma’, plus a string of cover versions requested by the crowd including Motley Crue‘s ‘Dr Feelgood’, Guns N’ Roses’ ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ and Bon Jovi‘s ‘Livin’ on A Prayer’.

The one-off show served as a warm-up for their performance at the O2 Arena later today as part of Ozzfest 2010.
