Scots didn't realise the booze was free...
Glasvegas, one of the first bands to arrive at the Shockwaves NME Awards today (February 28), managed to smuggle in a load of their trademark drink, Buckfast.
Speaking to NME.COM, singer James Allan explained that the band didn’t realise booze was free.
Drummer Caroline McKay, clutching a bulging handbag full of the drink, explained that she wasn’t nervous about her first red carpet run, she “just really needed a pee”.
Guitarist Rab Allan then explained that he was tipping Muse for the Best Band award.
“I love them,” he said. “Their sound is so huge. I want them to win, no question.”
