The Shockwaves NME Awards 2008 are just about to get underway this afternoon (February 28), so here’s an idea of all the action we’ll be bringing you on NME.COM.
With news, blogs, pictures and video coming live from the ceremony at London’s IndigO2, we’ll have all the action for you once the guests start arriving from 4pm (GMT).
Klaxons are set to open the ceremony at 5pm, with performances also coming from Lightspeed Champion, Gallows, The Cribs and this year’s Godlike Geniuses Manic Street Preachers.
Between those we’ll be giving out the awards every ten minutes or so, and so you know what to expect and when, here’s the running order of the ceremony:

However that is just the beginning. Following the ceremony our focus moves to the neighbouring O2 Arena where the Shockwaves NME Awards Big Gig is taking place.
Kicking off at 7pm sharp with The Smiths legend Johnny Marr joining the The Cribs for their whole set, Klaxons, Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs and Manic Street Preachers are all playing live – we’ll be bringing you live reports and interviews with all the performers, plus the first review of the night.
