The Twang win Philip Hall Radar Award at Shockwaves NME Awards

Brummie band win coveted new band prize

The Twang have won the Philip Hall Radar Award at the Shockwaves NME Awards tonight (March 1).

The prize was presented by Kate Jackson and Dorian Cox from last year’s winners The Long Blondes. The award recognises rising talent.

“I was gonna say this was a surprise, but someone rang me and told me earlier! Nice one NME. Philip Hall sounds like a nice geezer,” said singer Saunders as his band picked up their award.
