Live Oasis homecoming song released

Track features on free ShockWaves NME Awards 2006 CD

Oasis are releasing a rare recording from their homecoming gigs last year.

A version of the band’s classic ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Star’, recorded when the band played the City Of Manchester Stadium last July, features on the new ShockWaves NME Awards 2006 CD.

The disc also features tracks from a host of bands who triumphed at last week’s ceremony.


The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand and Babyshambles all feature, while Best Album victors the Kaiser Chiefs have also submitted a rare live recording of ‘Saturday Night’.
