NME Breakthrough to give away £500 in festival spending money to top music fans

Prize up for grabs through new online service

Two members of NME‘s new music community NME Breakthrough are set to win £500 each this June.

The prize will go to the two members of the new music social networking service, which is aimed at bands and fans, who have the highest number of friends at noon (BST) on June 1. If more than two people have the same number of friends and are in the top spot when the competition closes, the winner’s name will be drawn at random.

To be eligible for the chance of winning the prize, sign up to NME Breakthrough now and start adding friends.

NME Breakthrough is also looking for new bands to play this year’s Lovebox festival at London‘s Victoria Park. As previously reported, Dizzee Rascal is among the judges checking out bands who sign up to the site in order to award a new band that prize.
