‘Evil’ takes over the countdown…

Interpol have hit the number one spot in tonight’s NME CHART with ’EVIL’ (January 16).

The band have knocked Kings Of Leon’s ’4 Kicks’ from pole position and faced tough competition from Bloc Party at Two with ’So Here We Are’ and Kasabian’s ’Cutt Off’ at Three.

New entries this week come from Doves at Seven with ’Black And White Town’, Willy Mason at Nine with ’Oxygen’ and Maximo Park’s ’Apply Some Pressure’ entering at Ten.
