Joy Division‘s 1980 single ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’ has been voted the ultimate Manchester anthem by NME.COM users.

The song and the other 29 Manchester anthems featured in the countdown are available to listen to on a free podcast now.

Former Smiths and current Cribs guitarist Johnny Marr helped present the countdown with presenter Iain Baker on Friday (May 29) on NME Radio.
