NO DOUBT’S ‘FINAL COUNTDOWN’?

When we say Europe, we actually mean the poodle-permed '80s rockers...

NO DOUBT have compared their new material to Swedish poodle-permed ’80s rockers EUROPE, saying their tracks are “a fusion of dancehall reggae, Euro-synthpop and victory rock”.

According to [url=]www.sonicnet.com, guitarist Tom Dumont said the band have finished the touring for this year’s ‘Return Of Saturn’ LP, and are now focusing on writing the new record.

He said: “I would describe our new direction as a fusion of dancehall reggae, Euro-synthpop and victory rock, a la Europe’s ‘Final Countdown’. We’re planning on being very adventurous and working with different producers.”

Dumont also revealed the band hope to release their new as-yet-untitled record “by the end of 2001”.
