Mumford and Sons will also appear on second episode of upcoming series
Noel Gallagher and Kendrick Lamar are among the guests confirmed for the new series of Later… With Jools Holland.
As confirmed, Blur, The Vaccines and Laura Marling will appear on the the first episode of BBC2’s veteran music show, which returns on April 14.
Guests for the series second episode have now been confirmed with Gallagher and Kendrick Lamar to appear on the same show on April 21. Mumford & Sons will also appear on the same episode, as will George Clinton and Mirel Wagner.
The first episode also stars Natalie Prass, Songhoy Blues and Davina And The Vagabonds, while Marc Almond will be interviewed by host Jools Holland, after the former Soft Cell singer guested as part of Holland’s band on tour last year.
As is now standard for Later, the eight-part show will comprise of a half-hour live edition at 10pm on Tuesday evenings, entitled Later Live, with an extended hour-long edition on Friday evening.
Later…With Jools Holland began on BBC2 in 1992. Artists who appeared in 14 included Arcade Fire, U2, Kasabian, Alt-J, Coldplay, The Black Keys, Elbow and The War On Drugs.
