Watch Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds play ‘A Town Called Malice’ in soundcheck

The musician was said to be practising The Jam song for an upcoming show

Noel Gallagher‘s High Flying Birds have covered The Jam‘s ‘A Town Called Malice’ in a soundcheck session.

The band were setting up for a show at the Artwork Outdoor Amphitheatre in Lewiston, New York last week (July 6) when they played the song.

You can watch footage of the cover below. Gallagher doesn’t sing during the track, which is entirely instrumental i the clip.

According to the user @noelthegoodrebelofficial, who posted the video, Gallagher’s manager said the band weren’t playing it at the gig that night, but were practising it for an upcoming European show.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are currently on tour in the US and Canada, and return to the UK for Kendal Calling Festival on July 28.

The band embark on a run of European dates in August, beginning at A Summer’s Tale Festival in Luhmuhlen, Germany on the weekend of August 10.
