Noel Gallagher has said that it does not look like he will be playing at Glastonbury this year.

Gallagher has said that he is interested in playing the Worthy Farm festival in June . However, speaking to NME earlier this week he seems pessimistic about the possibility of it happening.

“It doesn’t look like I’m going to be playing, I’m not even going now,” Gallagher said. “I would do it though, if I was asked. I haven’t been asked though. I think I’ve made other plans.”

Noel Gallagher spoke to NME on February 2 before playing a tiny show at London venue The Dome, ahead of the forthcoming release of his second album ‘Chasing Yesterday’. Watch the video above to see Noel talk about: why he didn’t go and see Metallica at Glastonbury, what slot he’d want to play in and his friendship with Lars Ulrich.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will headline London’s Calling Festival on July 4. The event, which takes place on Clapham Common, will also see performances from Ryan Adams, The Hives and Echo And The Bunnymen.
