Watch Noel Gallagher dedicate ‘Live Forever’ to ‘giant’ Prince at Glasgow gig

'Let's Go Crazy' also played over the venue speakers

Noel Gallagher paid tribute to Prince onstage at Glasgow’s Hydro last night following the music icon’s death.

As reported, Prince was found dead by police at his Paisley Park home yesterday afternoon. He was 57. No cause of death has been stated. A post-mortem investigation will take place today (Friday).

Following news of his death, Gallagher paid homage by playing Prince hit ‘Let’s Go Crazy’ over the venue speakers. He also later dedicated Oasis track ‘Live Forever’ to Prince.

“So, I was in a band once. We had an album called ‘Standing on the Shoulders of Giants’ and one of those giants was Prince,” Gallagher told the crowd.

“So you’re going to help me pay tribute to the great man and help me do ‘Live Forever’.”

The Hydro venue also remembered the late musician by projecting purple lighting onto the side of the building. See below.
