Composer Joe Duddell will team up with the Manchester Camerata chamber orchestra for a special ‘David Bowie Reimagined’ performance.
The DJ line-up includes Andrew Weatherall, Craig Charles, Joy Orbison and more to be announced.
Festival founder Gareth Cooper said of the news: “This is year five and it just keeps getting better and better. We’re extremely excited about this year’s festival – our first wave of artists and DJ’s is better than ever and there are plenty more surprises up our sleeves.”
“We also have a huge amount to announce on the culture, arts and food side of the festival which has become the real heart of No.6. All will be revealed very soon but I’m convinced 2016 is destined to be the best yet.”
Last year, Noel Gallagher shared his thoughts on playing festival shows. He said: “Not sure I see the point in overthinking these things. Just get up there and give it 75%! One always has to save some for the after show you see!”
