Noel Gallagher announces huge Manchester Heaton Park show with Doves

This is the first time he's played there since his days with Oasis

Noel Gallagher has announced details of a huge homecoming gig at Manchester’s Heaton Park, where he’ll be supported by Doves.

Marking the first time he’s performed at the legendary venue since his time with Oasis, Gallagher and his High Flying Birds will be capping off their tour for Mercury-nominated 2017 album ‘Who Built The Moon‘ at Heaton Park on Friday June 7.

Tickets are on sale from 10am on Friday December 7 and will be available here.

As well as White Denim and others, Gallagher will be supported at the show by fellow hometown heroes, the recently reunited Doves.

The seminal Manchester trio have been on hiatus since 2010, after playing what they said could have been their ‘last ever gig’ at the Warehouse Project. Now, after teasing their return last week, they’re back with live dates on the horizon and their first new material since 2009’s acclaimed ‘Kingdom Of Rust‘. Today also saw the band announce a headline show at London’s Royal Albert Hall for the Teenage Cancer Trust run of shows in March.

Earlier this year, Gallagher teased that he had a wealth of new material ready to release and suggested some of the fresh batch of songs sound like “The Police meets The Cure.”
