NOFX announce Slam Dunk Festival 2019 takeover

They'll bring their 'Punk In Drublic' event to the two-day festival

NOFX have confirmed that they will bring their ‘Punk In Drublic’ takeover to Slam Dunk Festival 2019.

The veteran punk rock band will play a major part in the staging of the two-day festival, which next year will be held in Temple Newsam Park in Leeds and Hatfield’s Hatfield Park on May 25 and 26 respectively.

‘Punk In Drublic’ debuted earlier this year, and sees NOFX inviting a slew of some of the most beloved punk bands to play on one night in a mini-festival setting. The event’s appearance at Slam Dunk Festival will mark its only UK outing in 2019.

The ‘Punk In Drublic’ stage at Slam Dunk will feature performances from the likes of Less Than Jake, Bad Religion and Anti-Flag. See an event poster for ‘Punk In Drublic”s Slam Dunk takeover below.

Slam Dunk Festival 2019 will be headlined by Bullet For My Valentine and All Time Low. Tickets for the festival are on sale now from here.

Back in June, NOFX’s Fat Mike told fans that the band had had all of their US show cancelled following the emergence of footage of Mike and Eric Melvin making jokes about the October 2017 mass shooting at a country music concert in Las Vegas.

“We did not drop off the shows… we were told that NOFX is not welcome to play ANY big venue in the United States,” he wrote in a post on Instagram. “No joke! NOFX has effectively been banned in our own country.”
