GARETH GATES AND THE KUMARS have hung on top slot in the UK singles chart with their COMIC RELIEF cover of ‘SPIRIT IN THE SKY’.
The track held off a strong challenge from Mis-Teeq’s ‘Scandal’ which went in at Number Two in tonight’s (March 23) chart.
Richard X vs Liberty X went in at Three with ‘Bein Nobody’, while Blue’s ‘U Make Me Wanna’ went in at Four.

Other Top Ten entries were Simply Red with ‘Sunrise’ at Seven and Linkin Park at Ten with Somewhere I Belong’.
Norah Jones continues her domination of the album charts – ‘Come Away With Me’ stays top, holding off Coldplay’s ‘A Rush Of Blood To The Head’.
