Rapper was joined by son O'Shea Jackson, Jr in Brixton
NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton received its UK premiere at London’s Ritzy Brixton on Friday night with Ice Cube labelling the film “the movie of my life.”
The rapper spoke to a crowd full of apprehensive and excited fans and went onto to describe the film’s focus: “We will transport you back in time to 1986 where this movie takes place, where we show the origin of the world’s most dangerous group.”
The film, directed by F Gary Gray, documents the rise and fall of the infamous hip hop group and is named after NWA’s 1986 debut album, ‘Straight Outta Compton’.
