LIAM GALLAGHER has admitted that Oasis live without Noel Gallagher “was never gonna be the same”. He has also claimed to have written some new material.
Speaking in this week’s Melody Maker (June 28-July 4), in shops throughout the UK tomorrow, the star also revealed he thought the live shows without Noel were going “pretty well, considering”.
He added: “We know what we’re doing, d’you know what I mean?. We’re not fucking idiots. We’ve been doing this for 10 years now.”
Liam was speaking following the band’s recent show at the Heineken Jammin’ Festival in Imola (June 18).
When asked if he was planning on writing any new material – his song ‘Little James’ appeared on Oasis’ last album ‘Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants’ – he snorted: “Am I planning on it? Yeah man, I’ve already done it. Of course I have. What’s it like? It’s just really good. I love it, and thetas what matters. And it’s honest and its good.”
