The Bros Gallagher confirm birth of their brand new label...

Oasis issued a statement today confirming that their new single ‘GO LET IT OUT’ will be released on their own Big Brother label – and with a catalogue number of RKID 001.

The song’s released on February 7 and is taken from the band’s forthcoming new album ‘STANDING ON THE SHOULDER OF GIANTS’, out February 28.

Big Brother takes over the UK licence of the band’s recorded catalogue from CREATION RECORDS which is due to close later this year, following boss ALAN MCGEE’s decision to quit and set up his new internet label POPTONES.

Noel told NME that he’d decided to name the band’s new label after himself as a joke. “Everyone started laughing, so I decided it was a great name.”

The band are hoping to sign other acts to the label, and Noel has already been seen out talent-spotting.

In other news, Oasis last week also joined MANIC STREET PREACHERS, RADIOHEAD and former labelmates SUPER FURRY ANIMALS at their new press office HALL OR NOTHING after company with their Creation press officer JOHNNY HOPKINS.

ALEC MCKINLAY of the band’s management IGNITION said: “As far as we are concerned, it is simply business as usual from now on.”

Meanwhile, NOEL GALLAGHER has spoken again of the decision by PAUL ‘BONEHEAD’ ARTHURS and PAUL ‘GUIGSY’ MCGUIGAN to quit Oasis.

In an interview played last week on London radio station XFM, Noel said: “They said that they wanted to go and spend more time with their family and I haven’t spoken to either of them personally since they put their statements out, so I would have to believe that that’s what they really wanted to do.”

However, he mysteriously added: “But I think it’s not fair on the fans of the band who deserve to know…. well me and Liam would like to know the real reason why they left.”

Noel’s due to appear on XFM on January 18 where he’ll be interviewed about the new Oasis album.
