Ex-Oasis guitarist PAUL ‘BONEHEAD’ ARTHURS has enlisted GARY ‘MANI’ MOUNFIELD to work on his new solo material, nme.com can reveal.
Bonehead has demoed nine songs with ex-Oasis and Verve producer Owen Morris at Rockfield Studios in Wales and is looking for a record deal.
Once Mani finishes touring with Primal Scream, he will concentrate on developing Bonehead‘s material and getting a band together with a view to touring once a deal is secured. It is believed Bonehead will play guitar and sing when playing live while Mani will play bass.
Meanwhile, Paul ‘Guigsy’ McGuigan, who followed Bonehead‘s lead in leaving Oasis last August, has been working on his own solo material at his home studio near Reading.
While Bonehead‘s material is said to be traditional guitar rock, Guigsy‘s is described as dub reggae-influenced and is being tipped for success by insiders.
Like Bonehead, Guigsy is also looking for a record deal.
