Listen to new version of Oasis ‘Be Here Now’ demo ‘Angel Child’

'Supersonic' documentary is set to debut in UK cinemas on October 2

Oasis have shared a new demo of ‘Angel Child’.

The version will feature on the Britpop band’s reissue of their 1997 LP, ‘Be Here Now’, which comes out on October 7.

It was originally released in August 1997, following on from the Manchester band’s 1994 debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ and 1995 second LP ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’.

‘Angel Child’ was released as the B-side to ‘Be Here Now’ single ‘D’You Know What I Mean?’. You can listen to the track below or stream or download it here.

The reissue of ‘Be Here Now’ will be available on standard CD and vinyl, and as a special edition 3xCD package. The 3XCD package includes a disc of B-Sides & Extra Tracks and the Mustique Demos.

Supersonic documents the band’s rise to fame over a period of three years from 1993-96, up to their career pinnacle at Knebworth. It features new interviews with Noel and Liam Gallagher, their mother and members of the band and road crew.

Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher recently revealed what to expect from his forthcoming solo album – saying that he’ll ‘probably fuck off forever’ if the record flops.

The former Oasis and Beady Eye frontman will be dropping his debut solo effort in 2017 after signing a deal with Warner Bros Records – despite previously denying it because he is “not a c**t”.

“God, I don’t know, it’s nowhere near…Good songs, good vocals, rock n’ roll, mate, stuff you won’t have to think too much about,” he told Metro. “No long guitar solos, no drum solos, no drum solos, no mad wizardy keyboard, just bang-in-your-face. it’s good.”

He added: “I’ve done the Beady Eye thing and that didn’t come off and i thought maybe I’ll just have a break, but I wrote these songs and I thought, what else can I do? This album, if it does well we crack on and do another one. If it doesn’t I don’t know what I’ll do. I probably will fuck off forever but we’ll see.”

This week saw bookmakers slash the odds of Oasis reforming for a reunion tour in 2017.
