Noel and Liam Gallagher’s mum: ‘I want my sons to sort it out’

Peggy Gallagher orders her sons to end legal battle

Noel and Liam Gallagher‘s mum, Peggy Gallagher, has pleaded with her sons to end their feud and stop their legal battle.

Yesterday (November 21), it was reported that the two siblings had resumed their legal battle after Noel filed a lengthy court document in which he accused his brother of leaving abusive voicemail messages on his wife Sara’s phone and trying to attack with him a guitar.

The dispute centres on Noel’s claims at a press conference earlier this year that the Beady Eye singer had pulled out of a headline slot at V Festival in 2009 due to a hangover, and that Oasis‘s split had been partly due to an argument over whether he could advertise his clothing firm Pretty Green in the band’s tour programme. Noel later apologised for the remarks and it appeared Liam had dropped the case against his brother.

It was suggested that the emergence of the court documents would make Liam resume his lawsuit, but according to the Daily Mirror, Peggy Gallagher said:

I want them to sort it out.

This is not the first time that she has been forced to publicly call for peace between the two warring brothers. In June of this year, she told them to sort out their differences in the hope that Liam would be in attendance at Noel’s wedding.
