Oasis stage invader sentenced

Daniel Sullivan pushed over the guitarist back in 2008

The man who attacked Noel Gallagher onstage at a gig in Canada has been sentenced to 12 months house arrest.

Daniel Sullivan pushed over the guitarist as Oasis played the V Festival at Toronto Island Park in 2008, leaving Gallagher with three cracked ribs.

As previously reported, Gallagher revealed that he will ‘never really recover’ from the injuries he received, adding that the impact and shock of the incident felt as if he had been ‘hit by a bus’.

Pleading guilty to the offence of assault causing bodily harm, Sullivan will still be able to work under the terms of the sentence.
