Liam Gallagher apologises for Oasis’ Manchester show

Singer says sorry for Heaton Park technical problems

OasisLiam Gallagher has apologised to fans for last night’s (June 4) show at Manchester’s Heaton Park, which saw the band leave the stage twice due to technical difficulties.

The rockers were offstage for a total of around 40 minutes following a stuttering start to the 70,000-capacity gig due to a generator failure.

They offered refunds to fans after returning to complete a full 23-song set.

Sending a message to fans through his Twitter page, the singer offered his apologies to those who attended the show.

“On behalf of Oasis, I’d like to give my sincere apologies to the fans about tonight’s gig,” he wrote. “Thanks for sticking with us, live forever…”

Oasis are set to return to Heaton Park to perform tomorrow (June 6) then again on Sunday (7).
