Liam Gallagher says Noel is ‘busted’ after claims he planned solo career while in Oasis

Liam takes to Twitter to criticise Noel again

Liam Gallagher has taken exception to the suggestion that brother Noel Gallagher was planning a solo career before Oasis even split up.

Last week, Garry Cobain of British production duo Amorphous Androgynous discussed a scrapped collaborative album with Noel Gallagher, telling The Guardian that they “first began talking about working with Noel on a solo album years ago”. Cobain continued, “[Gallagher] invited me to DJ at the afterparty for one of Oasis’s Wembley Arena gigs (in 2008)… That’s when we began talking about a solo record.”

Oasis split in 2009, with Noel Gallagher later forming his band High Flying Birds. Liam started his band Beady Eye, who broke up late last year.

Taking to Twitter earlier today (May 11), Liam Gallagher quoted a portion of Cobain’s quotes before adding “Busted”. See the tweets in question below.

Today’s tweets are the latest in a recent spate of insults Liam Gallagher has aimed at his older brother. Gallagher posted a series of tweets last week (May 7) in which he insulted his brother as well as suggesting that he’s been “gathering his wings” during the time since Beady Eye split in 2014.

Liam also compared his older brother to Katie Hopkins in a separate tweet about the ongoing rumours of an Oasis reunion.

He then went on to reference the saxophone on Noel’s new album ‘Chasing Yesterday’ and label him “another prick in the wall” for Noel supposedly thinking he sounds like Pink Floyd. Liam ended the tirade by reaching out to his brother and state: “Re oasis rumours you know I don’t bum the press never had never will you know where I am if you need me.”
