Liam Gallagher tells ‘prick’ Noel to ‘leave One Direction alone’

Gallagher says he's "been gathering my wings" since the split of Beady Eye

Liam Gallagher has taken to Twitter for a second day in a row to criticise brother Noel, this time calling him a “prick” and telling him to leave the boyband One Direction alone.

Gallagher posted a series of tweets earlier today (May 7) in which he insulted his brother as well as suggesting that he’s been “gathering his wings” during the time since Beady Eye split in 2014. This comes one day after Liam compared his older brother to Katie Hopkins in a separate tweet about the ongoing rumours of an Oasis reunion.

Liam’s first tweet about “leave 1D kids alone” is a reference to Noel’s recent Rolling Stone interview in which he called Zayn Malik a “fucking idiot” for his decision to leave the band earlier this year.

He then went on to reference the saxophone on Noel’s new album ‘Chasing Yesterday’ and label him “another prick in the wall” for Noel supposedly thinking he sounds like Pink Floyd. Liam ended the tirade by reaching out to his brother and state: “Re oasis rumours you know I don’t bum the press never had never will you know where I am if you need me.”

Last month (April 19) tabloid reports emerged suggesting that a reunion for the band was on the cards, with a ‘well-placed source’ saying the brothers had come to “a gentlemen’s agreement” to reunite.

In an interview subsequently published by Rolling Stone, Noel denied this was the case and claimed that the rumour actually came from Liam’s camp.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds released their second album, ‘Chasing Yesterday’, in March 2015. Following the release it went to number one in the UK album chart.
