Oasis are Number One

The pop ‘Idles’ top the UK singles chart…

OASIS have knocked MCFLY off the top of the UK singles chart tonight (August 28).

’The Importance Of Being Idle’ is at Number One, as ’Don’t Believe The Truth’ becomes the first Oasis album since ’Be Here Now’ to yield more than one chart-topping track. McFly’s ’I’ll Be OK’ falls to number eight

Elsewhere in the charts, there are new entries for Kaiser Chiefs who go in at Number nine with ’I Predict A Riot’/ ‘Sink That Ship’, White Stripes are at Number ten with ’My Doorbell’, while The Cribs’ ’Martell’ scrapes into the top 40 at 39.
