The LIVID festival in Australia has been cancelled because of a lack of headline acts.

The event, which in the past has seen performances from the likes of Oasis and [a][/a], will return next year, according to promoters.

It will take place in October 2005 in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.


A statement issued to local press reads: “Given the scarcity of headline acts on this year’s international festival touring circuit, the decision has now been made to allow Livid a one year hiatus in order to ensure the festival’s reputation for presenting only the best in line-ups.”

The festival has been running for 15 years.
