The star was allegedly involved in a scuffle with a photographer following the birth of his son earlier this week...
It appears LIAM GALLAGHER is being investigated by the Metropolitan police for alleged actual bodily harm (ABH) following a fracas outside a LONDON pub on Monday (July 2) where the OASIS frontman went to celebrate the birth of his son Gene, NME.COM can reveal.
A police spokesperson told NME.COM this afternoon (July 4) they could “confirm an allegation of ABH had been made against a well known public figure” following an altercation outside the Mason’s Arms on Devonshire Street on Monday evening (July 2). The spokesperson added that “police are investigating the allegation.”
Although it is not police procedure to release the name of alleged victim or assailant until charges are brought, Gallagher is almost certainly the “public figure” involved.
Photographer John Lillington has alleged Liam had lashed out at him on Monday, punching his camera, hitting Lillington on the face and gashing his nose. The snapper had said he felt Gallagher should not “get away with it” and promised to make a formal complaint to police.
Liam had been toasting the birth of Gene, his son with former All Saint All Saint Nicole Appleton with Nicole‘s sister Natalie and other members of both families when Lillington tried to take a picture.
