GETTIN’ IGGY WITH IT!

Gem and Noel help their touring partners blast through a storming 'Down On The Street' at Radio City Music Hall...

OASIS‘ NOEL GALLAGHER and GEM ARCHER joined BLACK CROWES onstage in NEW YORK CITY during their encore last night (June 7) for a storming rendition of the THE STOOGES’ classic ‘DOWN ON THE STREET’.

The Crowes frontman Chris Robinson introduced them as they returned to the stage, following their own set, referring to Gem as “my favourite Geordie”.

The two bands were playing together for the first of three shows at New York’s legendary Radio City Music Hall, part of their current Brotherly Love Tour, also featuring Spacehog.

Beastie Boy Adam Yauch and Sean Lennon were in the house to witness the Gallagher brothers’ return to the venue, where they also stopped on their tour with Travis last year.

There were a couple of new faces on stage, as well, with drummer Alan White’s brother continuing to fill in for him behind the kit, and the addition of a keyboard player to the line-up.

The group took to the stage accompanied by a bizarre bluegrass version of The Beatles‘ ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’.

As with other shows of late, they chose to focus on older material, finding a startling return to form in the process.

When Oasis finished their set, many in the audience left, including Yauch, rather than hanging around to see the Black Crowes.

Oasis‘ full setlist was as follows:
