The nominations are announced...

AT LAST! The NME CARLING AWARDS nominations have been announced – and the competition is hotter than ever this year, with the old guard being given a run for their money by the rising stars of the new rock revolution!

The awards will be held this year at Po Na Na in Hammersmith in London on February 13, with special guests performing live, a star-studded list of celebrity guests and of course the famous one-fingered salutes being handed out to the great and the good.

This week’s NME – on sale in London tomorrow (February 4) and the rest of the UK on Wednesday – has extensive preview coverage of the awards nominees.
