Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller get onstage together at star-studded tribute to Small Faces singer Steve Marriott...

OASIS star NOEL GALLAGHER was the surprise guest at a special memorial gig to SMALL FACES singer STEVE MARRIOTT at the LONDON ASTORIA last night.

The gig, to mark the 10th anniversary of the legendary star’s death, also featured guest appearances from Paul Weller, Oasis guitarist Gem Archer, Midge Ure and old rockers Humble Pie.

Steve Marriott’s son Toby also played guitar and his daughter Molly sang backing vocals and original Small Faces members Ian McLagan and Kenny Jones played keyboards and drums respectively.

The night was a celebratory affair, with friends Noel, Gem and Weller clearly having a ball onstage.

They ran through four Small Faces songs, ‘Become Like You’, ‘I’m Only Dreaming’, ‘You’re So Good For Me’ and ‘Get Yourself Together’, with Weller singing and Noel playing guitar.

All of the guests converged on the stage for the encore, versions of ‘Tin Soldier’ and inevitably ‘All Or Nothing’.
