Patsy Kensit gave birth to a son last night six weeks early.
She and her husband Liam Gallgher rushed into hospital after she went into labour at home.
Once there, doctors delivered the baby by caesarean section and the couple later named the 6lb boy as Lennon – after, of course, Liam’s idol John Lennon.
The birth looks likely to delay Oasis’ decision on new band members even further. There were rumours earlier last week that Heavy Stereo’s Gem was being groomed as a replacement for Bonehead, but it now seems an announcement will not be made for some time.
