Single and album to follow; Noel has already written nine new songs...
Oasis will release a new single in September with an album to follow shortly after.
Noel Gallagher, who previously said there would be no new Oasis material until the year 2000, has now written nine songs for a new LP. The band have yet to decide upon a producer, having decided not to use OWEN MORRIS, who produced their three albums to date.
According to a spokeswoman for Creation Records, only the band and close friends have heard the songs.
Meanwhile, Noel‘s next appearance on record is his ‘Drums Of Zep’ mix of an UNKLE album track. ‘The Knock (Drums Of Zep Noel Gallagher Remix)’ appears as a B-side on CD2 of the IAN BROWN/UNKLE collaboration ‘Be There’, due out on February 1 through Mo’Wax.
Noel sampled LED ZEPPELIN drummer JOHN BONHAM for the track, which also features BEASTIE BOY MIKE D.
Has he come back to save us all from Jane McDonald and Shania Twain? Is another Oasis album desirable or necessary? Have your say. Post a message on Angst!
