Noel talks to NME about Bonehead's departure...

PAUL ‘BONEHEAD’ ARTHURS left Oasis in March, according to Noel Gallagher speaking exclusively in this week’s NME.

“He left in March,” said Noel. “He wanted to spend more time with his family. He has two kids up in Manchester and he wanted to be with them – so we let him go.”

Creation have persistently denied that Bonehead had left the band, only issuing a statement last night after NME had gone to press.

Despite Noel; claiming that he had left in March, Bonehead was seen with the band in France in April, though he flew back separately from the rest of the group.

Noel was fairly cavalier about Bonehead‘s departure.

“It’s hardly Paul McCartney leaving The Beatles,” he said.

He also said that as the band aren’t touring this year, there’s no hurry to find a replacement guitarist.
