The bookies think Oasis are now five times more likely to reform

They also think the band could headline Glastonbury next year

Bookies have slashed the odds on an Oasis reunion after Liam Gallagher tweeted that he wants the band to reunite after their split in 2009.

“Earth to noel listen up rkid I hear your doing gigs where people can’t drink alcohol now that’s the BeZarist thing you’ve done yet,” Liam wrote.

“I forgive you now let’s get the BIG O back together and stop fucking about the drinks are on me LG x”

Bookies have now put odds at 3/1 – down from 20/1 –that the band releases a single by the end of this year, and 12/1 that they land the Christmas number one.

They’ve also placed odds at 16/1 that Oasis will headline Glastonbury next year. Others have put the odds of a 2018 reunion at 10/1, a 2019 reunion at 5/1 and a 2020 reunion at 3/1.

However, Noel is yet to respond to the prospect of a reunion, prompting Liam to tweet, “I’ll take that as a no”, earlier today (July 20).

Last week (July 12), Liam hit out at “miserable” brother Noel after England’s World Cup exit. “That England team were biblical and the best thing to come out of this is that we got a proper manger Gareth Southgate you rule”, he wrote.

“For all those plastics who said it wasn’t coming home they should be ashamed of them selves … He wasn’t right they wasn’t right they put a curse on it it they should be shot … The thought of going go the misserable little f***ers gig and having to sit down listen to his bread heads and being I told you so ewwwww … I bet his mrs is happy f***ing turn coat.”

Liam’s tweets came after a clip showed Noel responding to his fans having a singalong of ‘Three Lions’ – shutting it down by criticising the crowd’s enthusiasm.
