Ocean Colour Scene have postponed their forthcoming UK tour due to an injury within the band.
The group were scheduled to undertake a series of dates in June. However, due to a persistent injury to drummer Oscar Harrison’s back, the dates will now not take place until September.
A posting on the band’s official website, www.oceancolourscene.com, reads: “After having to cancel a trip to the USA because of problems with his spine recently, Oscar visited a specialist towards the end of last week. It was not good news, with the specialist insisting that Oscar has 3 or 4 weeks of treatment to ensure that the he has no long-term problems. Although Oscar’s spine is fit and well, the surrounding a muscle and tissue are not, after not recovering fully from his previous injury. Because of lack of time before the tour is scheduled, we have also been unable to find a suitable replacement sticksman.”
The new dates have been rescheduled for: Newcastle City Hall (September 3)
Edinburgh Playhouse (4)
Brixton Academy, London (6)
Manchester Apollo (7)
Birmingham Academy (8, or possibly 2nd)
