Ocean Colour Scene are to debut material from their forthcoming album on a major UK tour this April.
The band gave a sneak preview of three new tracks: ‘Soul Driver’, ‘Profit And Peace’ and ‘Southern Man, Northern Soul’ at their charity gig with Paul Weller at the London Brixton Academy on December 11 which was in aid of homeless charity Crisis.
A spokeswoman said the band would reveal far more on their spring gigs as their album neared its April/May release date. She also confirmed that many of the gigs had already sold out as Ocean Colour Scene‘s fan club had been informed of the dates back in December.
The band are still putting the finishing touches to the as-yet-untitled album at the Moseley Shoals studio in Birmingham; the album will be released by MCA.
The band then play live at Hereford Leisure Centre (April 2), Crawley Leisure Centre (3), Southend Cliffs Pavilion (4), Swindon Oasis (6), Truro Theatre For Cornwall (7), Jersey Fort Regent Leisure Centre (9), Ryde Arena (11), Folkestone Leas Cliff Hall (12), King’s Lynn Corn Exchange (13), Hull City Hall (15), York Barbican (16), Milton Keynes Sanctuary (18), Leicester De Montfort Hall (19), Port Talbot Afan Lido (21), Chester Northgate Arena (22) and Blackpool Mecca Ballroom (23). Support has yet to be announced.
