OCEAN COLOUR SCENE have signed a new deal in the US and announced a handful of dates on NORTH AMERICA’s East Coast.

According to the band’s official website, [url=], their album ‘Mechanical Wonder’ – set to hit the shops in their native UK on April 9 – will be released Stateside by Ark21 Records, although no exact date has been confirmed.

It will be their first US release since 1996’s ‘Moseley Shoals’ on MCA.


OCS have also scheduled five live dates in the US and Canada, beginning on May 1 in Chicago, as the first of a promised “four or five trips Stateside this year,” according to the site. The shows mark the band’s first trip back to the States since 1997.

In the UK, ‘Mechanical Wonder’ will be preceded by a single, ‘Down On The Upside’, on March 26.
