The prog rockers return with a new EP and tour...

Oceansize are back with a new EP and tour, and have taken unlikely inspiration from Dido.

Set for release in October via Beggars Banquet, the five-track ‘Music For Nurses’ EP will be the band’s first new material since last year’s debut album ‘Effloresce’.

Singer/guitarist Michael Vennart told NME.COM about that title: “We were listening to something Dido was doing on telly and she was going on about how she’s now her own demographic and she doesn’t have to hand in any demos to the record company or anything. And I was like, ‘Fucking Dido, that’s music for fucking nurses, that is’. And then I remembered about when I used to work at the hospital and it was all they used to listen to, Dido and M People.”

The EP tracklisting is:

’One Out Of None’

’Paper Champion’

’Drag The ‘Nal’

’Dead Dogs An’ All Sorts’

’As The Smoke Clears’
