Earl urges rap collective’s fans to “stop dressing like an Easter basket”
Fans grew concerned on Wednesday (May 27) when Tyler tweeted that “although its no more, those 7 letters are forever”. It is unclear whether he was referring to a T-shirt emblazoned with the word ‘Cheetah’ mentioned in the previous tweet, or the band’s full title ‘OFWGKTA’.
Responding to speculation yesterday (May 28), Tyler tweeted: “ALL I WAS DOING WAS LOOKING AT OLD PHOTOS WITH FRIENDS AND THINKING ABOUT HOW TIME FLIES, CRAZY HOW ONE TWEET CAN STIR SO MUCH”
Later, however, Earl Sweatshirt said Tyler had been “solidifying the obvious”, reigniting rumours of the band’s demise.
