Odd Future’s Tyler, The Creator: ‘I think everyone might hate ‘OF Tape Vol. 2”

Rapper fears negative reaction to the collective's new album

Odd Future‘s Tyler, The Creator has admitted that he is worried people “might hate” the collective’s new album ‘OF Tape Vol. 2’.

The group are set to release the new record next week, on March 19, and in an interview with the Guardian the controversial rapper confessed that he was unsure how fans would react to the new material.

When asked whether he had been thinking about how the LP would be received, Tyler – who had previously claimed that he didn’t care how many copies of the album were sold – said:

I don’t know. I have my doubts. Everybody’s going on it and I just think, fuck, everybody might hate this shit.

He went on to add: “Everybody might go: ‘What the fuck I this? We wanted this, we wanted that.’ There we go. We made an album we wanted to make. If everybody hates it, OK. We have an album we like.”

‘OF Tape Vol. 2’ will feature new material from Frank Ocean, Left Brain and The Internet as well as Tyler and Hodgy Beats. Initially, it had been thought that Earl Sweatshirt would be not be involved with the album as he was not mentioned in any of the LP’s tracklisting, but yesterday (March 16) a track from the record featuring the rapper, titled ‘Oldie’, was posted online.
