The rap collective will play five shows in March and April
Odd Future have announced a handful of Spring tour dates for the UK and Ireland.
The shows will follow the release of their new album, ‘OF Tape Vol 2’, which is due to come out on March 19. The new LP from the controversial rap collective will be their first major-label record and is being released via their Odd Future Records label, through Sony and RED distribution.
They kick of their UK jaunt at Birmingham O2 Academy on March 28, following it up with shows at London O2 Academy Brixton on March 29, Manchester Academy on March 31, Glasgow ABC on April Fool’s Day and Dublin Olympia on April 2.
Their new mixtape album will be just one of a slew of Odd Future-related LPs to be released this year, with Tyler, The Creator‘s ‘Wolf’ – the follow-up to last year’s ‘Goblin’ – set to drop in May. Fellow Odd Future member and singer Frank Ocean is also planning on releasing an album this year, while Mellowhype – the side-project from Hodgy Beats and Leftbrain – are expected to release a second record in 2012.
Odd Future‘s own reality TV series Loiter Squad is also set to launch this year. The show, which will follow the collective performing sketches, man on the street segments, playing pranks and performing some of their tracks, will premiere on US cable channel Adult Swim on March 25.
Odd Future will play:
Birmingham O2 Academy (March 28)
London O2 Academy Brixton (29)
Manchester Academy (31)
Glasgow ABC (April 1)
Dublin Olympia (2)
