Odd Future’s Tyler, The Creator arrested on suspicion of vandalism

Rapper allegedly trashed sound equipment at LA gig, say reports

Odd Future‘s Tyler, The Creator has been arrested for vandalism, according to reports.

TMZ says that the rapper allegedly trashed sound equipment at Odd Future‘s Christmas show at the Roxy in Los Angeles. Staff at the venue are said to have contacted the police, who arrested the hip hop star on suspicion of vandalism and took him to the nearest police station.

Reports also claim that Tyler was handcuffed and arrested in front of his mother, who had been at the Roxy to see the rap collective’s gig.

Tyler, The Creator isn’t the only member of Odd Future to have allegedly found themselves in trouble with the law this year. In November, ‘Left Brain’ Vyron Turner was charged with assault for the incident in which he allegedly slapped a female photographer.

Freelance snapper Amy Harris claimed she was struck in the face by Turner, although an Odd Future representative issued a statement insisting there was “no truth to the accusation”.

Tyler, The Creator is about to start work on this third album, ‘Wolf’. The follow up to 2010’s ‘Goblin’ is set for a May, 2012 release. He has promised that the new LP will see him move away from the gruesome subject matter of its predecessor, as “talking about rape and cutting up bodies” doesn’t interest him anymore.
