The audience stormed the stage at the end of Odd Future’s Camden Crawl set yesterday (May 1).
Festival-goers crammed into the Red Bull Bedroom Jam Stage for one of the first performances by the group in the UK, following their set at London’s Village Underground on Friday (April 29).
Tyler, The Creator dived straight into the crowd in a green ski mask on opener ‘Sandwitches’. He then told the photographers to get out of the pit, threatening: “I’ll fuck your shit up and I won’t pay for it.”
When the photographers retreated Tyler baited the crowd to break through security, saying: “I feel your energy, the only problem are these fucking barricades.”
Four of the twelve members of the collective were present at the show.
Tyler and Hodgy Beats shared vocal duties, while producer Left Brain smoked in an over-sized green mac. DJ Syd ‘tha Kyd’ Bennett controlled the decks from the back of the stage.
Hodgy Beats scaled a 10ft speaker stack during ‘French’ before jumping off into the crowd. Tyler was taken to hospital after performing a similar stunt at Friday’s show.
Hodgy Beats later tweeted: “That stage dive/jump at camden crawl I landed on my fucking feet.”
