Odd Future’s Frank Ocean: ‘Jay-Z made me sweat on ‘Watch The Throne’

Rapper also says recording sessions were like walking into a 'heavy room'

Odd Future member Frank Ocean has revealed recording ‘Watch The Throne’ with Jay-Z and Kanye West was like walking into a “heavy room”.

The rapper, who features on album tracks ‘No Church In The Wild’ and ‘Made In America’ said Jay-Z jokingly deliberately made him feel nervous when he first walked into the recording studio.

“[In] the initial walk in… he wasn’t saying anything and I was nervous, but as soon as we started talking, he’s super cool,” Ocean told Hot 97. “I think he was trying to make me nervous, make me sweat. It seemed a little intentional, but it was all good. We were laughing within minutes.”

He also admitted that although he hasn’t been invited to go on tour with Jay-Z and Kanye West, he said “he would love to”.

The rapper also said he finds it difficult to keep up with controversial Odd Future frontman Tyler, The Creator‘s public spats.

“I definitely won’t go on the record and say that I latch on to every beef or confrontation or scuffle that Tyler gets into,” Ocean added. “Maybe in the street, but in the Matrix, or the Internet, I can’t keep up with that.”
