Olly Murs set to topple Rihanna from top of UK album chart

'X Factor' contestants are heading for the top spot in the singles chart

Olly Murs is set to take the Number One spot in the UK album chart on Sunday (December 4) with his new album ‘In Case You Didn’t Know’.

The singer is currently outselling both Michael Buble‘s festive album ‘Christmas’ and Rihanna‘s ‘Talk That Talk’, which are Number Two and Three respectively.

Il Divo are set to be the only new entry in the Top Ten with their new album ‘Wicked Game’, which presently just below One Direction at Number Five.

In the singles chart, the X Factor contestants’ cover of Rose Royce‘s 1978 single ‘Wishing On A Star’ is set to oust Rihanna from the top of the chart. The track, which has been re-recorded without the vocals of Frankie Cocozza, has been released with all proceeds going to children’s charity ‘Together For Short Lives’.

Rihanna is set to fall to Number Three, with Olly Murs at Number Two, Flo Rida at Number Four and Aviici at Number Five.

Jessie J‘s ‘Who You Are’ is set to the only other new entry in the Top Ten at Number Seven.

Further down the charts, both The Pogues‘ ‘Fairy Tale Of New York’ and Mariah Carey‘ ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ are also set to re-enter the lower reaches of the Top 40 in the lead-up to Christmas.
