Harry Styles has reportedly signed a solo record deal

He's said to have inked a contract with One Direction's US label

Harry Styles has reportedly signed a solo deal with Columbia Records, the label that released One Direction’s music in the US.

According to Billboard, who heard about the deal through unnamed “sources”, there is currently no “timeline” in place for Styles’ debut solo album, which has been rumoured since last year.

So far, Zayn Malik is the only member of One Direction to release a solo album. His debut ‘Mind Of Mine’ dropped in March and debuted at Number One in the UK and US, shortly after his single ‘Pillowtalk’ had also topped the charts.

Alongside his rumoured solo record deal, Styles is pursuing an acting career with a role opposite Tom Hardy and Oscar winner Mark Rylance in Christopher Nolan’s World War II thriller Dunkirk. Styles’ camp has yet to respond to Billboard‘s story about him signing to Columbia Records.

Meanwhile, fellow One Direction member Louis Tomlinson is to serve as a guest judge on the July 12 episode of America’s Got Talent. It is expected that he will assist Simon Cowell during the episode, having previously served as Cowell’s right-hand man during an episode of The X Factor last year.
