Harry Styles ends feud with The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes

The two singer recently hugged it out in LA

Members of boy bands One Direction and The Wanted have squashed their long-running beef after singers Harry Styles and Nathan Sykes recently met in LA.

The two pop groups had previously exchanged heated words via Twitter, with The Wanted going as far as to challenge their counterparts to a boxing match.

Now, however, Sykes says that it’s all settled down. He recently told The Mirror: “I was out with Harry in LA recently. We were both a bit merry, but we had an embrace.”

Sykes continued: “I never had a problem with any of the 1D boys and never got involved with the Twitter fights, it wasn’t me. I think sometimes you can be a victim of hatred through association. I was like, ‘I didn’t say anything.'”

The Wanted announced their hiatus in January 2014, initially blaming One Direction for their split.

Meanwhile, One Direction’s manager Simon Cowell recently said that the group’s members should all pursue solo side-projects, as well as staying with the band. Various members are known to be pursuing solo activities, though the group are also currently working on a follow-up to the 2014 album ‘Four’.

“We’ve said to the boys ‘All of you should do other things’,” said Cowell. “‘If you want to work with me, do some stuff on your own.’ They should be allowed to do whatever they want.”
